BB Brunes

Here is another band from across the ocean. BB Brunes, a French rock band, has been gaining popularity with the release of their 2nd album, Nico Teen Love, at the end of 2009. 

I’m a fan of Black and Blue and Dis Moi.

I saw them on the nightly show, Le Grand Journal, which airs on Canal +.  This live show invites celebrities to come for an interview while interspersing skits and other information, like weather and news snippets, throughout the 2 hours.

A friend passed this along to me, and I think it is awesome.  The concept of a ‘Take Away Concert’ is exactly what I like about indie music.  It’s raw and intimate, which should be what music is all about. No sound editing, just the artists, their instruments, a camera, and all the natural sounds of their surroundings.
